It always brightens our day when our customers comment on how good our products are.

Since we opened our store in 1985, we have been committed to using ingredients brought directly from Japan to make our hand-made bread softer, airier, and silky smooth. Authentic “Oishii!”

We take great pride in having a very strict policy of not using additives and preservatives in our kitchen. We have also eliminated all products containing trans fatty acids so our products are healthier for our customers.

Every staff member at Hippo is dedicated to bringing you the best and healthiest bakery goods. “Oishii” with a smile!

Everything here is delicious, from the wide variety of Japanese breads (the chocolate melon pan and cute panda bread are my favorites) to the rich but not overwhelmingly sweet slices of cake. I wish more bakeries like this existed (but that would leave me poorer and fatter!).

This place has the best pastries ever! I love getting all the custard filled treats and this bread that is in a spiral type shape filled with chocolate (don't remember what it's called). So I recommend those treats! The service is 11/10 as well as the treats. Mitsuwa as a whole is a wonderful place with many awesome shops! I highly recommend going here!

I like Japanese food and food court was so good, and especially bakery was the best part, I like their slice cakes they are so good, very fluffy and not too sweet , now my off day I always go there and spend my time.

We have been going here for years and have never been disappointed---from the luscious cream filled treats to the savory spinach and bacon buns----we've had nothing but hits! Service has always been pleasant, efficient, and consistent.

This place is truly traditional Japanese bakery, trust me as I came from Japan. I love their sandwiches especially mix sandwich and pork cutlet sandwich are delicious. Try their handmade bread, it is very fresh and really good for breakfast or sandwiches.
